Dear Investors, Partners and Friends,
This year, Thrive Economic Development is proud to celebrate 10 years of serving Greater Jefferson County.
When ThriveED was created, it was built on a belief that still guides our work today: Jefferson County is stronger when public and private partners work together around a shared vision for economic growth, community vitality and long-term prosperity.
Over the past decade, that belief has helped shape meaningful progress. Together with our investors, board members, municipalities, county leaders, businesses, educational institutions, workforce partners, developers, financial institutions, nonprofit partners and regional allies, ThriveED has helped support business growth, major investment, housing solutions, workforce connections and increased visibility for Jefferson County.
Some of this work has been highly visible: major project announcements, new housing tools, business expansions, awards, media coverage and statewide recognition. But much of the work happens quietly and consistently behind the scenes. It happens in conversations with employers, meetings with municipal leaders, site visits with business prospects, letters of support, workforce discussions, partner convenings and the relationship-building that makes projects possible long before a groundbreaking or ribbon cutting.
As we reflect on our first 10 years, we do so with deep gratitude. We are grateful for the founding investors who believed in this model from the beginning. We are grateful for the municipalities and county leaders who have partnered with us. We are grateful for the businesses that continue to invest in Jefferson County. And we are grateful for the many partners who contribute their expertise, time and leadership to this work.
This anniversary is not only a look back. It is also a moment to look ahead.
The next 10 years will bring new challenges and new opportunities. ThriveED is committed to meeting that future the same way we have approached the past decade: through partnership, persistence and a belief in Jefferson County’s potential.
Thank you for being part of this work.
