Abet Laminati, a global leader in decorative laminates, celebrated the groundbreaking of its new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Johnson Creek on July 14.
The new facility will be located on Crossroads Way in Johnson Creek and will span more than 220,000 square feet on a 49-acre site. The project represents a major investment, establishing Abet Laminati’s North American headquarters, and will bring manufacturing, fabrication and administration together under one roof.
The facility will include new purpose-built machinery, dedicated areas for research and development, quality control, engineering, fabrication and office administration, as well as a modern showroom to highlight Abet Laminati’s materials and design solutions.
“Abet Laminati’s decision to build in Johnson Creek is another strong example of Jefferson County’s growing reputation as a place where advanced manufacturers can invest, innovate and thrive,” said Deb Reinbold, President of Thrive Economic Development. “This project reflects the strength of the county’s infrastructure, workforce and location, as well as the commitment of our municipal partners to creating an environment where global companies can grow.”

Miller, secretary and CEO of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), the state’s lead economic development organization. “WEDC is proud to partner with Abet Laminati as they begin this new chapter.”
WEDC is supporting the project by authorizing up to $625,000 in performance-based state income tax credits. The actual amount of tax credits the company will receive is contingent upon the number of jobs created and the amount of capital investment during the period.
The groundbreaking marks an important milestone for Johnson Creek and Jefferson County, strengthening the region’s manufacturing base and reinforcing its position within Wisconsin’s broader manufacturing corridor.

MSI General Corporation is leading the design and construction of the facility, bringing its design-build expertise to a project tailored to Abet Laminati’s operational needs. The Village of Johnson Creek has worked closely with the company and project partners throughout the development and approval process.
