The ThriveED Team is Growing!

We are excited to announce the addition of two members of the ThriveED team.

Deb Sybell, J.D. will begin on June 5 as Director of Community Development. In this role, she will lead initiatives tied to increased housing availability of all types and workforce engagement.  In addition, Deb will manage our HUD certification process, which will allow us to continue our work with home buyer and home rehab loans and grants.  Deb’s most recent role was as the State Director for The Arc Wisconsin, the state’s leading advocate for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. A passionate changemaker, Deb has also worked as a Legislative Program Policy Analyst for Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA), Executive Director of the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services, lobbyist for the Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC) and as a realtor.

Phil Ostroski joined us on May 23 for 20 hours a week as our Revolving Loan Fund Manager. He will oversee the three Revolving Loan Funds that we manage and will be instrumental in the development of the Live Local Revolving Loan Fund which will support housing development throughout Jefferson County. Phil’s extensive experience includes roles as Middle Market Business Lender for North Shore Bank and Senior Vice President for First Midwest Bank and Citizens Bank. He is well versed in general business lending, commercial finance, asset-based lending, structured finance, SBA and USDA government assisted lending, merger and acquisition financing, both investment and owner occupied real estate financing and business risk management.
